Mike Charles

CEO and Managing Director
Joined CR in 2003

Mike leads an integrated specialist team at Contract Resources pushing boundaries. developing new technologies and creating new capabilities.

Mike began his career with Contract Resources as a field technician in 2003 and has progressed through various roles including Project Manager, Offshore Manager, Regional Manager, and more recently as General Manager – Australia. Mike is extremely proud and respectful of the reputation Contract Resources has established globally.

Mike is passionate about our business, our people and culture, and ultimately the safe delivery and service quality which Contract Resources is known for. Strong delivery performance and safety are key priorities of our Board and Senior Management Team. Mike spends considerable time in the field engaging with both our crew and clients.

Mike holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration degrees and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Troy Ritchie

Chief Financial Officer
Joined CR in 2020

Troy Ritchie is a commercially focused senior finance professional with global experience across the shipping, transport and manufacturing sectors. Troy joined Contract Resources in 2020 in the role of Chief Financial Officer.

Prior to joining Contract Resources, Troy worked for a Global Design and Construction firm and has worked in the United States for a leading provider of marine dry bulk cargo handling and the world’s largest owner and operator of self-unloading vessels. Troy has also worked in numerous listed companies in senior finance roles, including Qantas Airways, Wesfarmers and Caltex.

Troy’s expertise working in complex multinational corporate environments, has enabled him to achieve success in implementing large change programs. In doing so, he has been able to positively impact key operational and financial systems and processes, whilst ensuring appropriate governance and risk management frameworks are in place.

As a respected, ethical and engaged leader, Troy motivates, empowers and drives collaboration. Troy is passionate about achieving results through focusing on building high performing teams.

Troy holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and is a member of CPA Australia and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Adriana Hartcher

General Counsel and Company Secretary
Joined CR in 2016

Adriana joined Contract Resources in May 2016.

In her role as General Counsel, Adriana manages the legal, commercial, procurement and compliance teams and is responsible for providing legal advice to Contract Resources’ Board, CEO and broader leadership team.

Adriana, together with the senior management team, has been a key driver of ensuring consistent contracting discipline across the group. Prior to joining Contract Resources, Adriana spent more than a decade with Orica within the mining services business advising on competition, commercial and corporate law issues in several jurisdictions, having been based in both Singapore and Sydney as Senior Legal Counsel.

Adriana’s expertise in managing negotiations enables her to dive deep into understanding the commercial impacts of her advice whilst keeping an eye on the big picture.

Adriana is passionate about sharing her knowledge having participated in a number of mentoring programs and enjoys spending time with the workforce in the various Contract Resources’ locations.

Adriana holds a Bachelor of Laws and Master of Laws (Corporate and Commercial) degrees and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Joe Callaghan

General Manager,
Operational Excellence
Joined CR in 2018

Joe Callaghan provides leadership to Contract Resources Workforce Planning, Training, Quality and HSE teams. Joe had previously held the East Coast General Manager position with Contract Resources.

Before joining Contract Resources in March 2018, Joe had developed into a highly experienced professional with a diverse skill set and a sound management background in oil refining process operations, planning and scheduling, projects and major maintenance, HSE and risk systems working for Caltex Australia. Early in his career Joe worked for Alcoa in alumina refining and ACI glass manufacturing.

Prior to joining Contract Resources, Joe has had a long association with Contract Resources as a client. He believes that the organisational values of clients, innovation, people, zero harm, teamwork, delivery and quality are ingrained in our employees. This makes the company a great one to work for and to have working for you as a client.

Joe holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical), Master of Engineering Science and Master of Business Administration degrees.

Ross Jury

Technical Director
Joined CR in 2010

Ross Jury joined in 2010 to establish the Contract Resources operations in the Middle East. Since this time, Ross has overseen the growth of the business to a highly successful industry leading business.

Now serving as our Technical Director, Ross is instrumental in shaping the future of Contract Resources and is the linchpin for innovation and success. 

Leveraging his extensive knowledge and rich experience in the industrial services sector, Ross is pivotal in spearheading key strategic growth opportunities for our global operations by forging strong connections with our valued clients worldwide.

With over 30 years industry experience, and a proven track record of driving operational excellence and fostering collaborative partnerships, Ross brings a wealth of expertise to every facet of our business. His dedication to achieving and surpassing industry standards aligns seamlessly with our commitment to delivering top-tier solutions.

Stephen Iremonger

General Manager,
New Zealand
Joined CR 1998

Stephen Iremonger leads the New Zealand team in specialist Industrial and Mechanical Services within the Oil and Gas, Dairy and Geothermal sectors.

Stephen has over 20 years of international operations and project management experience. While his most recent role is that of General Manager New Zealand, he also leads the groups Innovation Centre that has created a range of technologies and processes to enhance the safe delivery of services to our clients. Stephen has held roles as Global Operational Excellence Manager, Global Catalyst and Mechanical Specialist, Major Project Manager and Specialist Technician.

Stephen prides himself on being a strategic thinker who delivers results for clients within critical path environments. Clients value his blend of safety focus, practical experience and creative problem solving. His no nonsense management approach is strongly supported by his technical knowledge and an emphasis on front line leadership.

Prior to his career with Contract Resources, Stephen has worked in industrial rope access operations and was a small business owner within the agricultural sector. Stephen is a member of New Zealand Institute of Company Directors.

Victor Chiavetta

General Manager,
Middle East
Joined CR in 2023

Victor leads the team in the Middle East with over two decades of experience in the Oil & Gas and energy sectors. Victor has executed projects throughout the Middle East, South America, and Europe. Victor brings expertise in maintenance, project execution, business development, and general management. Starting his career in maintenance, Victor demonstrated his leadership capabilities early as he progressed into senior roles, overseeing major projects and fleet management.

Prior to joining Contract Resources in 2023, Victor’s introduction to operations in the Middle East saw him optimising piping fabrication and process equipment manufacture, while also delivering on key commercial objectives such as securing new contracts, diversifying clientele, and driving sustained growth.

Victor’s global industry exposure and multifaceted skills in leadership and operations uniquely position him to further grow the Middle East business whilst ensuring operational excellence.

Brayden Crain

General Manager,
Australia – West Coast
Joined CR in 2013

Brayden leads our talented West Coast team who deliver large-scale, complex industrial and mechanical service-based projects on a daily basis. This region incorporates multiple key clients in the Oil & Gas, Mining & Metals Refining, and Ammonia Industries. Brayden is passionate about safety and the CR brand.

Brayden is a firm believer in culture and strives to ensure that we hold true to our values as the business continues to grow and evolve. He strives to nurture and grow his team, providing many with organic opportunities for career growth and self-development.

Prior to joining Contract Resources in 2013, as a Project Coordinator, Brayden had gained extensive operational experience during his 13 years within the Mining and LNG sectors.

Zain Kader

General Manager,
Australia – East Coast
Joined CR in 2018

Zain leads our talented team delivering specialised industrial services on the East Coast of Australia including South Australia, Northern Territory and Papua New Guinea. The region has a diverse range of clients including Oil & Gas, Ammonia and mineral processing facilities.

Zain began his career in construction before working in the finance industry for 10 years whilst completing a Bachelor of Commerce part time in Sydney. After moving to Western Australia, Zain worked in a number of HSE roles supporting several onshore and offshore oil and gas projects on the North West Shelf, Asia and Europe.

Zain then moved into an Operations role for Chevron Australia working on the Gorgon and Wheatstone facilities focusing on Start Up and Operations. After several years of FIFO, Zain joined Contract Resources in a Perth based position managing the Chevron Account. Leveraging his financial and operational experience Zain progressed to a Regional Management Role overseeing the Northern Territory and South Australia. Zain is passionate about Contract Resources having great appreciation for the history, safety culture, dedicated long term employees and emerging talent.

Zain holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Graduate Diploma of Occupational Health and Safety.
